Assignments

Whenever you assign a Survey to a Respondent a line in the table on the My Surveys page will be created.

This shows you:

  1. What type of schedule has been used (e.g. momentary, repeating, etc.)
  2. The title of the survey
  3. The "Participant" or the subject of the survey
  4. The "Respondent" or the person completing the survey. In mEMA these are always the same.
  5. The Start/Instance timestamp which is the date the Data Collection Period begins
  6. The End / Last entry date which is the last date the survey will be available
  7. The edit icon which allows you to make changes to the assignment
  8. The delete icon which allows you to delete the assignment.

Important
  1. Be sure assignments are not duplicated within the same dates, when creating new assignments, old assignments should be deleted or set to a different time period.
  2. Alerts from different assignments should not be set to appear at the exact same time.

Instances

Once a survey has been completed on a mobile app and sent back to the platform an "instance" row will appear in the table on the My Surveys page.

This shows you:

  1. The title of the completed survey
  2. The "Participant" or the subject of the survey
  3. The 'Respondent" of the person completing the survey (these two are the same)
  4. The Start/instance timestamp which is the time at which the the alert was sent. In the case of an on-demand (and limited on-demand) type this is the time at which the Respondent opened the survey on the app.
  5. The End / Last Entry date which is the time the instance was received in the platform after being synced from the app
  6. The Report icon which allows you to see the answers entered into that survey
