Your mEMA watch
Your watch will ask you a few short questions during the day. Wear it as you normally would — there is nothing to set up and no codes to enter on the watch itself.
When it buzzes
Your watch will buzz when there are questions for you and offer to open mEMA. Say yes and the questions start straight away. They take under a minute. Tap your answer, then Next.
The buzz never says which survey it is — that is on purpose, so nobody glancing at your wrist can read it.
If you miss one
That is fine, and nothing is marked against you. Answer the next one when it comes.
Taking one whenever you like
Open mEMA from your watch’s apps list and tap the screen to see My Surveys. Anything under Anytime can be taken whenever you want.
Your phone
Keep the mEMA app installed and set up on your phone, but you do not need to carry it for the watch to work. The watch remembers your answers and sends them across on its own the next time the two are near each other. If your watch says it is not connected, nothing is wrong.

Charging
Charge the watch as you would normally. It cannot ask you anything while it is on the charger.
If something looks wrong
Get in touch with the study team. Please do not delete or reinstall anything — we can usually sort it out quickly.
