Garmin watch app (surveys on the watch) — separate from the biometrics setting.
Question types
All nine are supported. Not available: media capture and task questions, goal-table matrices, dependencies, response piping, images.
Schedule types
Supported: On Demand, Scheduled, Momentary, Repeated. Not supported: event and trigger based.
Rules to remember
- The watch shows Short Text — participant-facing, and the forty-character cap does not guarantee a fit. Shorter is better.
- One unsupported question keeps the whole survey off the watch.
- Changes reach the watch only after Download Updates on the phone; the watch syncs on its own after that.
- Prompts can be up to about five minutes late.
- A closing window ends a survey in progress and keeps what was answered.
- Forward only — no going back, no skipping.
- A watch survey is also available on the phone.
- Watch answers reach you in two hops — the phone still has to upload.
- “Not connected” is normal.
